THE REALITY!

  • According to the World Evangelical Alliance, roughly 70% of pastors in Sub-Saharan Africa have no theological training.
  • Mission Network News on 15/July/2022 stated that 90% of pastors in rural Uganda cannot afford theological education and are at times illiterate in their local language.
  • 70% will never attend Bible school in their lifetime this is because they one do not have the required tuition and two they do not have the educational entry requirements required by these formal institutions thus the need for local bible training to come to the grassroots.
  • Most pastors in rural Uganda will create a message to broadcast over radio or television if they are fortunate enough to have access to do so. These messages incorporate African cultural concepts and are delivered only on Sunday as a message from God. While these messages share the “saving knowledge of Jesus Christ”, we find that there is a great decline in the proclamation task– “Go and make disciples of all nations”.

With a lack of discipleship, shallowness and lack of growth among new believers is very common, leading to increased idolatry, widespread false teaching, abuse of the poor and vulnerable, and also politicization of faith.

ADN is committed to addressing these issues by:

  • Providing theological and discipleship training for pastors and frontline leaders.
  • Helping solve the complex issue of extreme poverty among pastors.
  • Providing  “growth groups” (discipleship groups) for pastors and leaders in Africa.
  • Providing ministry resources in addition to bibles and the most basic needs.
  • Equipping pastors and their spouses with ministry skills to increase the effectiveness of their ministry.

“To see leaders, trained, and equipped, in God’s word to bring the TRUE gospel to all the nations of the world.”

PROGRESS

  • During the past year 2024, we have successfully trained and equipped over 50 pastors in Kisoro Uganda, providing quality discipleship training by gifted facilitators.
  • We have secured 1 acre of land and construction of our discipleship training hall has already started.
  • We have networked with the Reunite Cultures Fund, Reclaimed Us, Lifeway Resources, the bible society of Uganda, and several individuals who are supporting our ministry on their own. We are hopeful to find many organizations and churches to partner with us.

Our efforts are making a difference:

  • We have received overwhelming feedback from congregation members about positive changes in their pastor’s performance.
  • Pastors have shared their stories of transformation.
  • Communities have been reached more effectively with the truth of the Gospel.
  • Many leaders have recommended ADN for the work done and many are looking forward to joining the same.
