The Dream Takes Shape

It all began as dream. Alex and his wife Winfred, had always wanted to build a ministry center. They spent years doing ministry activities at their home, then began praying day and night asking God for special providence for a Christian ministry center to combat poverty for local children.

This center would also serve as a home for Africa Discipleship Network, True Love Waits and Providence Christian School.

The waiting was long, but worthwhile. For over ten years nothing seemed to work out, finally, in 2024 they found the perfect piece of land — a very beautiful, serene, and quiet environment where ministry would run without interruptions.

Finding the Land (Ecclesiastes 9:10)

After the purchase of the land they began to envision the dream home for the ministry. They walked the property, imagining the layout, the views, and the memories they would create. With the land secured, they worked diligently with the resources entrusted to them. Luke 14:28

Preparation

They hired an engineer to mark the property boundaries and identify any potential issues with the land.
They also brought in a team to clear the land, removing tree stumps and stones to make way for construction. With the land prepared, they were ready to begin building.

The Foundation (Matthew 7:24-25)

The foundation stage was a crucial one. They worked with the builder to design a strong, stable foundation that would support the hall. They opted for an iron bars reinforcing a concrete foundation, which would provide a solid base for their single-story ministry center with a vision for the future when God would provide the means to add a second or even third level.

It’s a blessing and great joy to see the building taking shape!

Building the Frame (Colossians 3:23-24)

With the foundation in place, the framing stage began. The builder started constructing the walls which could not be completed because the resources were limited and getting depleted so what next, watch the space it was a rain season and if everything was left exposed we were going to lose everything so with little done on the walls we decided to jump to do the roofing to be on a safer side. It was a painful decision but what we would do since we didn’t have the money we had to do it that way.

The “Covering”

To protect the work already done, we had to move ahead quickly and complete the roof. With financial resources running out, the decision was made to complete the roofing stage first. This was a very critical decision since we do not know when resources would be available for us to resume. We quickly chose to use wooden timber since we could not afford the high cost of a metallic roof.

But God chose for us a metal roof! The roof was installed, and we are very grateful to God, our prayer partners, sponsors, donors and well-wishers.

Without your support we could not have made it all this far. May god richly bless you as you consider to support us move forward with this building project again.

So what is remaining?

  • Completion of the interior and exterior walls
  • Electrical system
  • plumbing work
  • installation of windows and doors
  • plastering
  • flooring (tiling, or talazor)
  • painting
  • installation of water collecting gutters and a tank for water storage.
